It all seems so blurred
shadows are cast
gliding away
hiding away
from memories past
fickle disguises
are walking on by
blackened like ash
dissolving in grey
fading away
like last year's whiplash
closing the front door
black cats surround me
eyes glowing bright
piercing my way
in hues of deep grey
back into the night
