accidentally in one

want to know something funny?
and when i say funny i don't literally mean "laugh out loud" funny.
i mean it as in, when something bad has happened and is ironic.

all my life.
ok re-sentence!
i've always wondered what it would be like to be in an accident.
what would it be like to get bashed down by a car one day whiles i'm crossing.
or if i'm already in the car and another car comes from behind and bangs the rear causing me to have whiplash or something.
i've always been known to wear a seatbelt in any car.
but today i didn't.

today i was in an actual accident.
well, i was in one before but it wasn't major and the only thing that happened was the cab i was in got banged slightly in the back when i was going for work.
today, a.deb, lafina(arts in motion student) and i were going to millenia walk as 3 of the students were taking their exams and since there were so few students we had to go to Kawai itself.
so there we were in the cab and we were driving down guillemard road there.
when all of a sudden, this cyclist, an old man, comes out of nowhere(one of the lanes) and instead of cycling on the first lane, goes straight to the second lane!
our cab driver realises this.
we slowed down but too late!
we hit the cyclist.
i can still see it now.
we hit the bicycle and the man hits the front of the car as it stopped.
he looked just like those dummies you see when they test cars to see if the airbags work.
even lafina wasn't wearing a seatbelt and she was sitting in the middle!
but thank God we managed to hold ourselves back in time.
but i'm beginning to feel the effects of it.
whiplash.
the cab driver took down a.deb's details coz we were in a rush to the examination.
but the cyclist! his head was bleeding quite a bit. i felt so bad.
but after that when the exams had finished and we'd gone back to AIM, there'd been a call from the investigative officer and the cab driver.
everyone's pretty much alright, except that the old man got quite a bad hit on the head.
and the cab driver got his license suspended coz apparently, that wasn't his first accident.

and poor lafina too coz we didn't think that was something she had to experience just before her exam! but she managed to hold herself well which was good. i mean it wasn't a huge accident such that we were all hurt and injured but there was impact enough. please pray for the old man who got hit, that he's alright, coz he was sitting up so that's a good sign right? and the cab driver that he'll be able to find some kind of work.

so yes, it's funny coz, as much as i wasn't injured greatly in any way physically and just sort of shaken by the experience, i did end up in a more serious accident.

yet another accident experience. i wonder if they get worse as time goes on.
